Purcell Room debut recital

2012 starts with another first - a debut recital at the Purcell Room in London's Southbank Centre. My concert forms part of the Park Lane Group young artists programme, and tonight I'm singing 20th and 21st century music with a couple of European premieres. Two of my composers are in the audience - Thea Musgrave and Janice Hamer have both flown over from the States to be here - and so I am anxious to give a good and faithful rendition of their compositions, especially since I have been lucky enough to coach with both of them this week. Fortunate then that my friends and family are out in force to greet me with the necessary sea of friendly faces!
